Hello, I’m Jieying Xie, but I prefer to go by Allie. I’m excited about the prospect of joining you on your life journey. As an AASW registered social worker, a NDIS registered behaviour support practitioner, and a qualified yoga teacher, I’m dedicated to crafting a holistic and strength-based therapeutic relationship with you. My goal is to help you achieve yours and enhance your quality of life.

Together, we will explore your life stories, identify effective strategies, and navigate the challenges that arise as you build your ideal life. My approach integrates mindfulness and movement-based therapies, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Dance and Movement Therapy. These methods help you explore your emotions and thoughts in a non-judgemental way and foster a responsive rather than reactive approach to life’s challenges. I believe in treating the mind and body as one—through evidence-based therapy combined with movement, meditation, and breath work, I aim to bring balance to your body and mind, helping you navigate life with greater ease, grace, and flexibility.

I am fluent in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese, which not only offers language versatility but also allows me to provide a broader perspective influenced by various mindsets and cultures.

I recognise that each individual is unique, with their own strengths and life experiences. While you possess the inner strength and ability to achieve your goals, I am here to remind you of your capabilities and support you through any difficulties. My personal experience with ADHD as a late-diagnosed neurodivergent individual, combined with my professional background, shapes my empathetic, neuro-affirming approach. I focus on recognising and celebrating the strengths and uniqueness of those with neurodiversity.

My experience spans working with children, adolescents, and adults across various settings—including community health, schools, aged care, rehabilitation, and child protection. I have extensive experience in the disability (NDIS) and trauma sectors, offering therapy support, support coordination, psychosocial recovery coaching, and behaviour support services.

I look forward to potentially working with you and supporting your journey towards a fulfilling and empowered life.

I consult at North Adelaide, offering a range of both business and after hour appointments, both face-to-face and via Telehealth.

At the heart of my practice is a profound commitment to supporting individuals on their distinctive paths through neurodiversity, trauma, and body-oriented healing. Drawing from both professional expertise and personal insight, I customise my approach to address the specific needs of those with neurodivergent identities, using a neuro-affirming framework that honours each individual’s uniqueness.

My approach to trauma utilises a variety of evidence-based techniques, including Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, and EFT tapping methods. These methods are designed to alleviate and heal by targeting deep-rooted emotional responses that affect everyday functioning.

In my somatic work, I harness the transformative power of movement and bodily awareness as essential elements of therapy. Employing techniques such as Dance and Movement Therapy and integrated yoga practices, I create a supportive, non-judgemental environment where clients can engage with and manage their emotions. This holistic strategy not only aids in emotional regulation but also enhances the connection between mind and body, which is vital for overall wellbeing.

Each session is tailored to empower you, utilising your inherent strengths to help you navigate life’s challenges with resilience and grace. Whether you are navigating the complexities of neurodiversity or are on a journey of recovery from trauma, my methods are here to support your path to healing and self-discovery.
