Hello, I’m Kathryn. I have just recently relocated from Melbourne to Adelaide. Although I am new to the area, I am not new to Psychology and have been working as a psychologist for over 15 years. I believe that one of the best kinds of self-care you can give to yourself is counselling.  I understand that taking this first step can be daunting so I strive to create a safe space for you to begin the process of talking about your issues and stressors. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is paramount to effective therapy and I take the time to get to know the clients I meet with from a holistic/whole person perspective.  Clients would describe me as nurturing, supportive and playful, whilst also being challenging enough to assist them to understand their thinking and behaviours and move towards positive change(s).

During my career, I have worked in several different sectors including Community Health and Psychiatric services, but have vast experience working in educational settings in both secondary and tertiary institutions. Over the last 2 and a half years, I have been working in private practice.

I have worked with clients across the life span but predominantly with adolescents and young to middle aged adult clients.

I consult at North Adelaide on Monday’s, Tuesday’s and Wednesday’s, offering business hours on Monday and Wednesday and after hour appointments on Tuesday’s.

Our team will process your Medicare and private health rebates immediately after your appointment.

For telehealth appointments the claim may be made for Medicare by our team through our software. For private health we will send you a receipt in the case of telehealth services. Please note that although we may process payments in advance we are not permitted to process the rebates until after the appointment has finished by law.

If you have private cover you do not need a referral and will pay a variable gap depending on your level of cover and your health fund.
