Hello! I’m Narges Najafi, and I am passionate about assisting you in navigating the realm of mental wellbeing and personal growth. Since beginning my psychology career in 2012, I’ve developed expertise through experience in diverse settings, extending from hospitals to private practice, and organisational environments.

During the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic, I had the privilege of working closely with the dedicated medical team at the Royal Adelaide Hospital, particularly in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Emergency Department (ED), and Infectious Disease departments. Our collaborative efforts focused on promoting a balanced lifestyle among healthcare professionals, crucial in those demanding times.

My expertise also includes working with organisational leaders, management, employees, and their families, offering tailored psychological interventions. I conduct critical incident management services and mental health awareness sessions designed for both individual and group settings.

My approach to therapy is dynamic and personalised, tailored to meet your unique needs and goals. Drawing from a range of therapeutic modalities, I offer support, challenging unhelpful thought patterns through Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), or enhancing self-awareness and resilience through mindfulness practices.

By using motivational interviewing, I aim to inspire and empower you to make meaningful changes in your life. I value diversity and offer cross-cultural counselling to honour individual experiences and backgrounds. For deeper-seated issues, I employ Schema Therapy, and for traumatic memories, I provide Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) as a path to healing.

Together, we will embark on a collaborative journey towards deeper insight, healing, and personal transformation. I’m keen to explore the next steps of your journey as we unlock your potential and pave the way for a fulfilling and balanced life.

I consult at Glenelg on Thursday afternoons and Friday mornings, offering a range of both business and after hour appointments both face-to-face and via Telehealth.
