For more than 15 years, I’ve worked alongside people through some of life’s hardest moments — and I’ve never lost the sense that this is a privilege.

I know what it looks like when someone is carrying something enormous, all while still showing up and getting on with normal life. Grief, trauma, burnout, navigating life transitions or the mix of love, exhaustion, and everything in between that comes with being a caregiver. I also know the particular challenge professionals can experience when life looks great on paper but doesn’t feel that way underneath — when you’ve ticked all the boxes but are experiencing a sense of emptiness within.

My approach is to walk alongside you because being truly heard often matters more than being handed answers, and the relationship itself is one of the most important ingredients in meaningful change. I hope to create an environment of empathy, openness, safety, and care where you can truly ‘take the mask off’ without fear of judgement, or of worrying or upsetting someone whilst also providing practical tools that can assist you in your day to day life.

Much of my work comes back to one question: what do you actually want your life to be about? Whether you’re facing grief, navigating a major transition, tired from caring for someone you love, or a high-achiever who’s hit a wall, helping you to navigate these challenges and to reconnect with what matters to you personally is at the heart of what I do.

I also work closely with families and professional caregivers navigating dementia and disability — so whatever you’re carrying, chances are it’s something I’ve sat with before, in one form or another.

Before joining Attuned Psychology, I spent five years as a Critical Incident Trauma Psychologist, attending some significant Australian and international disasters and traumatic events — including the Kangaroo Island bushfires and the aftermath of the Christchurch mosque shootings. That experience shaped how I work now. I know what it looks like when someone is carrying something enormous and trying to hold themselves together at the same time, and I know how to be useful in those moments without rushing the process.

I work with adolescents from age 16 through to older adults, and I’m available Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday during business hours, plus Tuesday evenings and Saturday mornings, both face-to-face and via Telehealth.

You don’t need to be falling apart to seek support. If something feels off, even when life looks fine from the outside, that’s worth paying attention to.

Special Areas of Interest

My work centres on the moments when life doesn’t go as planned — and the long, often lonely process of finding your footing again afterwards.

  • Grief and loss — grief doesn’t always look like what we expect, and it isn’t always given the space it deserves. This includes the death of someone important to you, but also losses that often go unacknowledged — a miscarriage, the loss of a pet, the end of a relationship, grieving a future you’d planned for that isn’t going to happen, or grieving in advance of a loss you know is coming
  • Major life transitions — divorce and separation, redundancy and career change, retirement, empty nest, a significant health diagnosis, and other shifts that disrupt a sense of identity and direction, often leaving you asking: who am I now?
  • Trauma and critical incident recovery — years of experience supporting individuals and organisations through major incidents, from large-scale natural disasters to the more frequent, less publicised ones — sudden workplace deaths or injuries, armed hold-ups, and the unexpected death of a colleague. Much of this work has been with professionals in high-stakes fields: emergency services, healthcare, education, and the Defence Force
  • Burnout, stress or a loss of meaning in life — when what used to feel like progress or success starts to feel like just another item on the list. We’ll work together to reconnect with what’s actually driving you, what’s changed, and what might be missing
  • Caregiving — caring for someone you love, or caring for others as part of your work (nursing, allied health, and similar roles), often means holding love and exhaustion side by side. I understand the complexity of that — the parts that are meaningful, and the parts that are genuinely hard — and what it’s like to be a professional quietly carrying caregiving responsibilities alongside a demanding career
  • Dementia support — I’ve worked closely with the behavioural and psychological challenges that often come with dementia, an area many psychologists rarely encounter, supporting both family carers and the professionals working alongside them
  • Values, purpose and meaning — helping you reconnect with what matters most when circumstances have made that feel impossible
  • Depression, anxiety and stress — particularly when connected to grief, life change, or sustained caring responsibilities
  • Adolescents from age 16 through to older adults
